Rape Aggression Defense Class for Women – Sign Up Today!

Ladies, the Irving Police Athletic/Activities League is offering a Rape Aggression Defense class (R.A.D.) during the first week of December. What is R.A.D., you ask? R.A.D. is a class of short term training (4 nights) that sets a foundation for practice, maintaining, and improving self defense skills for a lifetime. You will learn a collection of skills and insights. From the R.A.D. website:

The national standard in self defense Instructor Certification, R.A.D. is internationally recognized for programming quality and organizational commitment to excellence. R.A.D. Systems balances the needs of women to acquire self defense education in a relatively short period of time, with the life long commitment required for physical skill mastery. How? By providing short term training opportunities in a progressive building block format, and combining each with R.A.D.’s trademark Lifetime Return and Practice Policy!

One of the really great features of the R.A.D. system is that they offer a free lifetime return and practice policy, honored worldwide. They don’t expect you to master all the self-defense skills necessary in one week. But you can return to any R.A.D. class offered anywhere and practice and refresh your skills for free.

The course is open to any woman age 12 or older. They focus on realistic self-defense tactics, as well as looking at the topics of awareness, prevention, risk reduction and avoidance. The course will be taught by nationally certified instructors. You even receive a workbook/reference manual that allows you to continue to study long after the class is over.

Sounds like a four night program like this would be expensive, right? Nope! They are asking for a $20 donation to be made to their children’s programs. So you can learn to be safer and make a small difference in the life of a child. That is what I call a win-win!

The class is next week, December 2-5, from 6:30-9:30, in Irving. You do NOT have to be an Irving resident to attend. Read more about it and about how to SIGN-UP HERE.

Owens Investigations has no direct connection to this program. We just believe that the safety of women is important, and wanted to share what we think is a great opportunity with as many people as possible. So don’t wait, call your sister, mother, daughter, or girl-friend and sign both of you up today. You will be glad you attended the Rape Aggression Defense classes!
