North Texas Giving Day

North Texas Giving Day. That sounds like a pretty cool name, right? Well it is, and more importantly, it is for a very good cause. Also very important, it is TODAY!

September 18, 6am – Midnight

If you are not familiar with it, North Texas Giving Day is a day set aside for people to learn about and have an opportunity to give to a non-profit organization that focuses it’s work right here in the North Texas area.

From the North Texas Giving Day website:

What is North Texas Giving Day?

North Texas Giving Day is an online giving event that provides nonprofits the opportunity to gain exposure to — and start relationships with — new donors, and for people in North Texas to come together to raise as much money as possible for local nonprofits.

In just five years, North Texas Giving Day has pumped more than $60 million into the North Texas community. In 2013, more than 75,000 gifts totaling $25.2 million, benefiting more than 1,350 nonprofits.

These non-profits have been vetted and these are organizations that are out there trying to make a difference in their community. You can give online right on the website, and there are even matching funds available that may help your donation go even further. They have more than 1600 certified non-profit organizations listed, so I bet you can find a cause you support!

So today, why not do something good for a cause you believe in? You might just make a big difference in the work of your favorite charity, and make the world a better place in the process. I am going to make a donation today. I hope you will too!

You can read more about them on their Website, on Facebook, or on Twitter. Check them out!
