What classifies someone as a missing person? Recently, I wrote about skip tracing, and how we at Owens Investigations classify “skips.” Even though many groups include any missing person in the skip category, for us a missing person is a different category worthy of it’s own classification and distinct approach in our investigative plan. May 25th is designated as National Missing Children’s Day. Many people across the nation will spread the word to renew efforts to reunite missing children with their families and remember those who are still missing.On this date in 1979, six year old Etan Patz disappeared on his way to school in Lower Manhattan.
